The retreat may last 4 days. The impact can last a lifetime when you have the support to integrate it. 💛
Most retreats end when you go home. But healing doesn’t.
One of the biggest misconceptions about personal growth is that transformation happens during the retreat itself. While breakthroughs are powerful, the real work begins when you return home and start applying what you’ve learned to your everyday life.
That’s why Sacred Heart: The Exhale Retreat includes a post-retreat virtual integration group call.
Because we know that after a deep healing experience, new insights emerge. Emotions surface. Your body may begin communicating in new ways. Relationships may feel different. You may start recognizing what no longer aligns.
And you shouldn’t have to navigate that alone.
Our integration call provides a supportive space to process your experience, understand what’s unfolding, and create sustainable next steps so your healing can continue long after the retreat ends.
This is what makes Sacred Heart more than a retreat.
It’s an investment in lasting transformation.

I love a new month energy feeling and it’s six months into the year! I often take a step back and give myself space for reflection, release and self connection.
I know many women are realizing how much they’ve been carrying because I witness it in therapy sessions. I want to offer a space in community for a mid-year nervous system reset.
The Soft Reset is an intimate in-person gathering created for women craving rest, reflection, connection, and nervous system restoration before burnout becomes the norm again.
Through guided breath-work, somatic tools, reflective journaling, and intentional community, this experience offers space to pause, soften, and reconnect with yourself in the presence of other women.
This is not about fixing yourself. It’s about giving your body permission to exhale.
Join us for an evening of grounding, reflection, and collective care as we gently reset for the second half of the year.

You know exactly why you struggle.
You’ve connected the dots.
You’ve made sense of your childhood.
You’ve talked through the trauma.
You’ve developed awareness.
And yet...
Your body still tenses.
Your anxiety still shows up.
You still find yourself people-pleasing, overthinking, shutting down, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed.
This is something many people discover after years of therapy:
Understanding your wounds is not always the same as healing them.
Trauma isn’t only stored in memories. It can also be held within the nervous system, showing up long after the experience has passed.
That’s why healing often requires more than insight alone. It may require helping the body process what it’s still carrying.
EMDR therapy can help bridge that gap between knowing and healing. ❤️🩹
If you’ve ever thought,
“I know where this comes from, so why am I still struggling?”
You’re not alone.
Healing isn’t about having more insight.
Sometimes it’s about helping your nervous system finally feel safe enough to let go.
✨ You deserve support that reaches both the mind and the body.

Yesterday was a full circle moment for me.
I had the honor of being invited by one of my former students to celebrate such a meaningful milestone. I taught at California State University, Los Angeles for two years, and the last cohort I taught is now graduating this year. Watching students I once knew as first-year MSW students walk across that stage as Master of Social Work professionals filled me with so much pride.
What made the day even more emotional was realizing that I was sitting in the exact same theater where I graduated from University of Southern California in 2013. To return years later as a professor, supporting and showing up for her students, felt incredibly sacred.
I was invited by another Latina, and being there for her felt like I was also showing up for the younger version of myself the 25-year-old me who once crossed that same stage carrying doubt, fear, and hope all at once.
As someone who struggled academically and was once told by a professor that I was not “grad school material,” yesterday felt deeply healing. It reminded me that our stories do not end where someone else places limitations on us.
This field calls all of us for a reason. And one thing I always shared with my students is this: representation matters, to be the change you want to see in this world and your own healing matters too. The work we do on ourselves is just as important as the work we do for others after graduate school.
To my students I am so proud of you. Thank you for reminding me why this work matters so much. 😭
Congratulations Class of 2026 🎓👏🏼

There is something no one talks about in the narrative of the strong woman.
How hard it is to receive.🥹
To let someone else carry something for you. To ask for help without immediately feeling like a burden. To be in a room and actually let yourself be held instead of being the one doing the holding.
If you have spent your whole life being the one others lean on… receiving can feel foreign. Uncomfortable. Even unsafe. But your nervous system was never meant to do this alone.
Sacred Heart: The Exhale Retreat is a space designed specifically for the woman who has mastered giving and is ready to finally practice receiving.
Four days to soften. To be held. To exhale. 😮💨
