🛝Today is the first ever Pitch In For Playgrounds event at Crown Point Park (4463 Crown Point Ave) by the Volunteer In Parks Program . The goal of this series is to beautify our local parks, with a special focus on making the playgrounds safer and more welcoming for the kids.

For this first event, they are tackling the Crown Point playground by:
* Spreading a fresh, clean layer of playground sand.
* Pulling weeds and clearing out debris.

* When: Thursday, June 4th at 9:30 AM

💭The Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a resident-led initiative that ensures Spark’s urban design and community development efforts are guided by local voices, lived experiences, and neighborhood priorities.

* Community Advocates – Representing residents’ needs in decision-making. 
* Project Advisors – Helping shape and refine urban design projects. 
* Engagement Leaders – Driving participation and outreach efforts. 
Together, we work to ensure that Omaha’s growth is equitable, inclusive, and culturally vibrant.

🚲Grab your bike and appetite for a chill Juneteenth ride followed by tasty brunch vibes and good company.

In collaboration with The North Omaha Trail & Just Ride, we’ll be celebrating the 161th Juneteenth on wheels!

Led by Manne Cook, we’ll have a short ride of the North Omaha Trail, followed by Barb’s Breakfast Bar serving up breakfast sandwhiches for purchase.
Meet us at Fabric Lab with your bike OR reserve a FREE E-Bike with Heartland Bike Share. (It takes 1-2 business days for approval.)

Light refeshments will be available.
Doors at 10am, ride starts at 10:30.
