72nd CERFP

Guard for a Day at Fremont High School

Around 700 students from Fremont High School and Bergan Catholic School attended the Guard for a Day at Fremont High School, April 12, 2023.

During the event, soldiers from the 72nd CERFP shared with students and teachers information about the CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) Mission and provided hands on experience with CBRN detection equipment, the use of different types of personal protective equipment (PPE), and a walk through of the Mass Decontamination Shower (MDS) trailer.

Was a very successful event and many students reported the CERFP’s “Human Car Wash” was one of their favorite exhibits! A few students even walked away expressing interests to join the Nebraska National Guard based off information they received from our CERFP table.
