We are very proud to announce that our colleague, Dr. Jose Miguel Lemus, has received the Ohtli Award for his indefatigable work building bridges of solidarity between the Mexican community and the states of Nebraska and Iowa. His work toward social justice has been recognized by the consul of Mexico, Guadalupe Sánchez. The award took place during the commemoration of the 108th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. ¡Enhorabuena!

Great turnout at Film Streams on Tuesday for the screening of "Dayani Cristal", a compelling film that humanizes the ongoing immigration reform debate. Thank you to Tony Vargas, Scott Eastman, Dr. Jackie Font-Guzman, Emiliano Lerda, and Jonathan Benjamin Alvarado for the panel dialogue. Big thanks to Film Streams for elevating a critical issue.
