Last weekend of May somehow?? Already our FIFTH farmers market of the season and honestly…it passes in the blink of an eye. As summer plans start unfolding, consider this your reminder that we’ll be here every weekend with buttery flaky hand pies, good coffee, and a cozy morning spot to hang in our backyard. Bring the fam, snag pies for a picnic at the park, a pre-pool treat, post-workout reward, or the start to a productive Saturday. ☀️🥧

Plus: Ethiopia on drip and our Nitro Cold Brew freshly restocked on tap using beans from ! Local kombucha from and other sparkling bevvies in the fridge, local honey, hot sauce, snacks and more on the shelves. 🙏

THIS WEEK’S MENU:

✨ Horchata Custard
Inspired by horchata, the classic cinnamon rice milk drink, this process starts with toasted rice infused into milk & cream, simmered with lots of cinnamon and thickened into a rich custard. The rice creates this uniquely nutty and earthy flavor that we balance out with cinnamon and sugar. A journey for the palate, indeed!

🥭 Mango Chili Lime
BACK after a couple years because y’all would not stop asking. Juicy mango simmered with sugar and tajin, folded with our tart and creamy key lime curd. It starts sweet, finishes limey, with just enough chili hanging around after each bite.

🍅 Grilled Cheese & Tomato Pie
Technically there’s plenty of cheese involved here BUT the tomatoes are really the star. Sweet caramelized onions, acidic tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, balsamic, garlic, parm & mozz all tucked into our flaky crust. We’ve been working on mastering the art of juicy tomatoes in pie and this one is it, ya’ll!!!

🍳 Sausage, Egg & Cheese
One flavor we truly can never make enough of. Featuring our in-house butchered breakfast sausage from forest-raised Idaho pasture pigs , seasoned simply with garlic, sage & white pepper, then folded with farm fresh scrambled eggs and cheese. When the ingredients are good, you really don’t have to do much.

SHOP HOURS:
Fri + Sat // 8a–12p
Sun // 9a–12p

AKSARBEN FARMERS MARKET:

See ya this weekend, Omaha! 💛

🌞 PIE WEEKEND IS UPON US! 🌞

Last weekend was kind of wild in the best way ~ we completely sold out at both the shop + farmers market for the first time in a long while. Zero pies left anywhere by Sunday afternoon! 🥲

As we head into our 8th farmers market season (!!), it feels really good to see the rhythm of it all clicking into place. Lines of customers, empty bins of pies, lots of familiar smiling faces. We spent the week right back in the kitchen baking up another round for ya!

🏡 SHOP HOURS
Friday + Saturday // 8am–12pm
Sunday // 9am–12pm

🧺 AKSARBEN FARMERS MARKET
Sunday // 9am–1pm (we often sell out around noon)

🍁 Maple Taffy
A super special spin on our classic Brown Sugar Cinnamon ~ somewhere between an ooey gooey maple cream donut and a butter tart. Wisconsin maple syrup stockpiled from last season gets whipped up with brown sugar and butter that melts into a drippy little maple situation. Sweet, sticky as it cools, rich as heck.

🍓 Strawberry Rhubarb
‘Tis the season!!! Equal parts jammy strawberries and tart garden rhubarb for the ultimate spring combo. Pie that tastes like May.

🌿 Buttermilk Ranch Hash
Buttermilk ranch seasoned hash brown potatoes with loads of fresh dill, sour cream & onion, plus melty mozzarella and cream cheese all whipped together into one cozy ranchy carb bomb. Kinda tastes like your favorite chip dip turned breakfast.

🍳 Cheesy Chicken Sausage & Artichoke Scramble
Scrambled farm eggs, organic chicken breakfast sausage, marinated artichokes, cheese and a touch of basil pesto. This one feels bright and springy compared to our rich traditional sausage breakfast pies. (*pesto contains nuts)

Hope to see ya this weekend, pie people! 💛

🍄 MOREL HAND PIES TOMORROW 🍄

Every year for about 2 weeks I become mentally unavailable because I’m wandering around in the woods staring at the ground like a freak. Honestly one of the greatest joys of my life. 🥲

This was a really good season. I took Amber on her first morel hunt 🥹 and ended up stockpiling about 5 lbs total over several forest missions. Ate plenty with butter like little woodland goblins obviously, but saved the rest for a special batch of hand pies for tomorrow’s market.

Wild morels roasted in brown butter then folded into soft scrambled local eggs with parmesan and chives. That’s it. Simple. Earthy. Rich. Beauuuutiful. “Very mushroomy” according to Ariana. 🤣 Like GOLD! Umami that makes you stop talking for a second.

And no, we’re not charging extra for them. Still $9 like always because I honestly just feel lucky to stumble around outside and find food growing out of the leaves every spring lol. Always wanted to try morels? Inside a hand pie is a mighty fine time to!

Limited amount tomorrow (Sunday) at the Aksarben Farmers Market ONLY. Hot and ready to sell at 9a when the bell rings. Probably around 5 dozen available if we counted correctly. 🌲 Bring your mom and treat her to something TRULY special. 🫶🏻

MENU DROP ✨ Berkshire Weekend Edition!

Big weekend in Omaha!!! 🥧 We’re kicking off our first Sunday back at the Aksarben Farmers Market (9a–1p!) AND welcoming all the Berkshire Hathaway folks rolling into town.

If you’re visiting—hi! 🫶 Come find us in one of Omaha’s tiny, cozy corners tucked between Field Club / Hanscom Park! We’ll feed you something warm, flaky, a little nostalgic.

Introducing a lightly Berkshire/Warren-inspired lineup👇

📱 Oracle’s Apple
Classic done right. Tart Granny Smith apples simmered down with sugar and just enough cinnamon, tucked into our buttery crust. Someone deliver one to Warren plz? We think he’d love it!

🌿 Mom’s Rhubarb Custard
This one’s personal. Rhubarb from my mom’s backyard (the same patch we’ve picked from forever), cooked down into a bright, tangy jam and folded into rich vanilla bean pastry cream. Best of both worlds, tart & creamy.

🌽 The Cornbelt Scramble
A little love letter to where we live. Fresh-off-the-cob corn, farm scrambled eggs, cotija cheese, peppers, pickled onions & spices.

🥪 Nebraska Reuben
NYC, don’t be mad. Nebraska gets to claim this one! Corned beef braised low and slow for 16 hours, shredded and folded with kraut, cabbage, melty cheese, and a swipe of thousand island. Finished with swiss + caraway on top. These always go fast for a reason.

We’ll be at the shop normal hours all weekend PLUS
📍 Sunday at Aksarben Farmers Market 9a-1p!
🚨 Market Menu OFTEN differs from the weekend shop menu, we bring what we can, swing by the shop for the flavors that speak to you!

Come early for the best picks, grab a few for now and a few for later!

And if you’re here for Berkshire—
we’d love to be one of the spots you remember. 🤗
