No More Empty Pots

Since March, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming youth from Goodwill Omaha’s YouthBuild program to No More Empty Pots each week! 👩🏽‍🍳🔨

Through this meaningful exchange-of-services partnership, YouthBuild students are helping renovate our Education Building (8511 N. 30th Street in Florence) while participating in weekly culinary programming in our Kids Kitchen.

Together, we’re building confidence, independence, and life skills through hands-on cooking, nutrition education, food safety, creativity, and teamwork!

We’re proud to partner with these future leaders! 💚

The school year’s almost over, but the skills are still cooking. 😎

This week in after-school programming, students learned the basics of preparing eggs, practiced knife skills while cutting vegetables, and discovered the origins of fried rice — all while serving up some pretty impressive omelets! 🍳🍴✨
