So, what the heck is a Pirate Festival, anyway?

A pirate festival is kind of like a Halloween party wrapped in a nautical circus. It's a fun place to meet up with, or simply watch, other pirates, rogues, wenches, scallywags, deck-swabs, first mates and maybe even a parrot or two, while you waste the day away enjoying a variety of live stage performances. At the Midwest Pirate Fest, there's a new performance starting about every 15 minutes on 5 different stages. A pirate festival is also a place to see the latest wares brought to port from far-flung lands! Add to that Rum, a variety of games, Rum, festival food options, Rum, scavenger hunts and an opportunity to find $50 in cash treasure each day, and you've got yourself a Pirate Festival!
