QLI
06/09/2026
On Monday, we were graced with a lively, engaged, and bright group of third-year PT students from the The University of South Dakota.
The group was immersed in a wide variety of QLI therapeutic offerings, including smart home technology, wheelchair innovations and seat mapping, car transfers, dry needling, collaborative co-treating, and the importance of having a vibrant work culture.
We are grateful to all of our team members and clients who took time out with our visitors. And, we thank these remarkable students for spending a day of learning with us. Go Coyotes!
After a spinal cord injury left him with complex dysphagia, Jim arrived at QLI with a feeding tube and a newfound fear of swallowing. But through months of training and therapy with QLI’s Zoey Bertsch and speech-language pathology team, Jim regained his ability to safely eat solid foods again.
This victory for Jim is a reminder that swallowing rehabilitation is about more than food. It represents independence, connection, and getting back the elements of life that matter most.
Read the full story for a deeper clinical look at dysphagia rehabilitation, recovery, and the interdisciplinary approach behind Jim’s progress in the first comment below.
