I’ll never forget the day Mt. St. Helens erupted. What were you doing when it exploded? Have you been back to the mountain since?

At 8:32 Sunday morning, May 18, 1980, two months of preceding earthquakes and volcanic activity on Mount St. Helens came to a head as a final 5.1 earthquake caused the building pressure in the stratovolcano to explode. The resulting 24-megaton blast devastated the surrounding area and sent a plume of ash 80,000 feet into the atmosphere.

What is your favorite memory of your Mom? My Mom drove a school bus for years. I’d ride with her on her route and sit up front after all the kids got off. I loved those times, just talking about life.
