"Aurora Over the Olympics." To say the night I experienced this was life-changing would be an understatement. I knew there would be a forecast for a geomagnetic storm creating the "Northern Lights." What I didn't expect was how massive the storm would end up being. I was much closer to my house along the water photographing what became the most powerful storm of the last 20 years. I got in my car and drove to a point deep in the Olympics I knew would have almost no light pollution and ended up photographing the storm facing SOUTH to Pershing and Jefferson peaks.
