Reaching CW5—the highest Warrant Officer rank—is an incredible achievement. From deployments around the world to earning the Bronze Star, I couldn’t be more proud of him.

Culp Retirement: Chief Warrant Officer Five Cody B. Culp, the husband of former Los Lunas resident Amanda (Pixler) Culp, recently retired from the United States Army after 28 years of military service. Cody holds the rank of CW5 (Electronic Warfare Technician), the highest Warrant Officer rank, and has served in both the U.S. Navy and Army. Throughout his career he has deployed and served in multiple capacities around the world, including Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan. He worked primarily in field artillery, targeting, and electronic warfare. He is a Bronze Star and Defense Meritorious Service Medal recipient and is currently completing his master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management. Amanda Culp is the daughter of Richard and Anna Braddy, who were long-time residents of the Los Chavez and are still closely connected to Valencia County.
