๐ŸŒž The best way to treat a heat-related illness is to prevent it.

As temperatures continue to climb, a few simple habits can make a big difference:
๐Ÿ’ฆ Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly.
๐Ÿ˜Ž Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
๐Ÿ‘• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and apply sunscreen.
๐Ÿ‰ Replenish electrolytes when spending extended periods of time in the heat.
โš ๏ธ Know the early signs of heat-related illness before they become a medical emergency.

If you or someone around you begins experiencing confusion, stops sweating, develops a high body temperature, or loses consciousness, call 911 immediately.

Your safety is our priority. We hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer.

โ˜€๏ธSummer heat can become dangerous faster than you think.

Whether you're working outdoors, enjoying the lake, cheering from the sidelines, or simply running errands, taking a few extra precautions can help prevent heat-related illnesses.

Remember to:
๐Ÿ’ง Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
๐Ÿงข Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
๐ŸŒณ Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
๐Ÿš— Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicleโ€”even for a minute.
๐Ÿ‘ต Check in on older adults, young children, and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

It's also important to recognize the warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If someone is showing signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately. Quick action can save a life.

Stay safe, stay cool, and look out for one another this summer. โค๏ธ๐Ÿš‘
