Elder flowers are ready for harvest 🌼
Remember to brush the flowers off so the berries can grow in the fall. My son wanted to demonstrate lol (see video).

I'm a little emotional over here because this is the first plant my son is truly interested in harvesting. I said "remember the purple yummy medicine we take sometimes?" He said, "yeah! Elderberry!"

*me then mind blown he remembers the name*

I explained how elder has flowers in the summer that are also medicinal. He started pulling the whole flower head off. I then explained if we break off the flower heads, the berries will not grow in the fall. He then began to "tickle" the flowers to get them off 😆
