I was warned years ago that tortoises love to dig… but after having Ted for several years without any issues, I figured we were in the clear.

Apparently, this was the year he decided to prove everyone right. 😂🐢

Digging has officially become Ted’s favorite hobby! His latest excavation project has gone under our barn, and let’s just say… he’s a little too committed to landscaping. 😅

Looks like we’ll be adding “outsmart the tortoise” to our never-ending farm to-do list before he decides to tunnel his way to the next county!

Our garden is absolutely exploding, and at this rate we may have to make it even bigger next year! 🍅🥒🥦

This year we mixed herbs in with our vegetables after doing a little research, and so far it’s been working out great.

I’m hoping to freeze-dry some of our dill and chives to enjoy year-round. 🌿

For those of you who have harvested dill before… I need your advice! Do you harvest just the feathery leaves, or do you cut and use the stalks too? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks!
