FINDING JOY IN SIMPLE THINGS
This was me after sharing music at a retirement facility I frequent.
The "disco ball" was an ornament that fell off a nearby Christmas tree. I put it on my PA rig and joked that we just needed to spin it and add some lights. We then made a bet with the residents as to whether it would make it through the end of the presentation. The idea of the bet came as we discussed how one could make a lot of money betting on the Chiefs, considering their razor-thin margins of victory lately - we got some good laughts out of it. The "disco ball" did fall once after the first two songs, but stayed through the rest of it :-)
We found joy in a simple thing.
The "tricked-out" walker, on the other hand, belongs to a 99-year-young lady who still walks on her own, and with whom I carry an intelligent conversation at the end of each session. She is always kind and gracious. Her walker always has flowers, or other themed decorations.
She finds joy, in simple things.
We can find joy in all circumstances. Happiness is an inside job.
"Music production is where creativity meets technical skill. It’s the art of transforming raw ideas into polished tracks, blending melodies, harmonies, and rhythms to create a sound that resonates. From laying down the first beat to mixing and mastering, every step in the process shapes the final product. Whether you're in a state-of-the-art studio or working from home, great music production requires vision, patience, and a keen ear for detail. 🎛️✨ "
