Out showing houses today, down a familiar street in Merriam where I once owned this home. It was a fixer upper that had hardwoods under the carpet, a kitchen that had to be gutted and a pink tub and toilet. But I really bought the house for the huge fenced backyard for my labrador, Piper. Although, I later regretted that decision in the fall with so many trees and piles of leaves. I got engaged to Tom in that house and ended up moving to a house with more space later but it was a good little house for a few years.

It’s interesting to look back on former houses, think about why you bought it at the time - because of the house layout, location, the yard for the dog, a good deal.
