Meet Peanut Butter the Hamster 🐹

He would like to join you for a week of summer fun to help you keep up your reading skills during the summer.

He will be available June 9th to August 2nd.

You will get all the supplies you need to take care of Peanut Butter for 1 week.
In return you will read a book about Hamsters and Draw us a picture with a story telling us about all the fun you have had!

• Pick up on Mondays and Drop off on Saturday mornings before Noon.

On April 20, 2023, 107 students from grades 3-8 competed in Okeechobee County Schools 2023 Battle of the Books competition. Preparation for this event begins the first day of school and continues throughout the school year. Congratulations to our grade level winning schools:

Seminole Elementary School Fifth Graders
Osceola Middle School Middle Grades

We also held a “Survivor” round in which students who read ALL 15 books competed for the ultimate honor. Congratulations to Leah Small for being our Battle of the Books Ultimate Survivor!

Congratulations to the winning class for the Okeechobee County Schools 2023 Spring Trophy Challenge. Manal Yamin’s kindergarten class won the challenge! Congratulations! Her students have used the Footsteps2Brilliance, program to read 653,785 words this year! Way to go!
