Want to make the best home made hummus? Check out my 3 tips below.
1. Make home made garbanzo beans. Soaked the beans over night and rinse them well. In a stock pot add a bit of olive and slowly cook some smashed garlic and onions (cut into wedges). Once they turn golden add in the beans, fresh thyme, bay leaves (fresh if possible) and some water or stalk. Cook on a low simmer until the beans are soft.
2. Finde a good traditional tahini that is well ground and has a liquid consistency.
3. Get creative with how you flavor your hummus. A few of my favorites additions are lemon thyme, Meyer lemon zest, toasted cu**in, and smoked paprika.
