Three productions. Four weeks of camp. Countless memories.
As we close the curtain on Winnie the Pooh, we’re also celebrating the end of our 2026 Summer Camp season. From Alice in Wonderland Jr. to How I Became a Pirate to Winnie the Pooh, this summer was filled with laughter, creativity, new friendships, and so much growth.
While our campers spend four wonderful weeks with us each summer, those weeks are the result of a year of preparation, planning, and behind-the-scenes work, choosing shows, creating curriculum, registering students, preparing materials, and making sure every camper has a place to learn, grow, and shine.
The truth is, these camps don’t just happen. We begin planning next summer before this summer even begins. In fact…yes, we’re already hard at work planning our 2027 Summer Camp season!
To every camper who stepped on stage, made a new friend, tried something outside their comfort zone, discovered a new talent, or simply found a place where they belonged, thank you. Watching your confidence grow has been the greatest reward.
To our families, thank you for trusting us with your children. Thank you for the early mornings, the late pickups, the costume help, the applause, and the encouragement. We couldn’t do this without you.
And to our amazing staff and volunteers, thank you for pouring your hearts into these students. The long hours, endless energy, and behind-the-scenes work often go unseen, but they make all the difference.
While our summer camps have come to an end, our summer season is far from over! Auditions for The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon are coming up July 26 & 27, and then don’t miss The Sound of Music on July 24, 25, 30, 31, and August 1. This is a performance you will not want to miss, so make sure you get your tickets!
Thank you for making this summer one we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to see what comes next. ❤️🎭

🎭 Community Help Needed for The Sound of Music! 🎭
Basin Theatre Works is hard at work preparing for The Sound of Music, and we’re hoping our amazing community can help!
As a nonprofit community theatre working with a limited budget, we’re looking to borrow, rent, purchase at a reasonable price, or receive donations of set pieces to help bring this timeless classic to the stage.
We’ve attached photos of examples of the types of items we’re looking for. They don’t have to be exact matches, if you have something similar, we’d love to take a look!
If you think you have something that could work, please send us a message with a photo and any details. Every item we can source through our community helps us stretch our budget and invest more into creating quality theatre experiences for the Permian Basin.
Thank you for supporting local theatre, we couldn’t do it without you! ❤️🎶
