The Health Insurance Coach
People today tend to want to cut costs at every corner. What is the true cost of doing that in the long run when it involves your health insurance? Let's consider it this way. When reducing the monthly premium on your insurance costs what are you giving up in the process? Perhaps you have an increased out-of-pocket cost for your deductible and out-of-pocket maximums. Smaller networks limit your doctor's network access and potential care reduction. Higher medicine costs and overall out-of-pocket increases can occur. A broker is a go-to source to ensure you're not raising your long-term costs of health insurance by reducing your monthly premium costs. It's important to look at short and long-term effects when making an insurance choice. It's not unlike buying a car. The more you get the car discounted the fewer options are available. Make sure you're not pricing yourself so low that your car doesn't have wheels or an engine to operate on. This is a rough example but you get the point. What are your thoughts on this post? Do you agree, or disagree, or could care less about the impacts on you and your household until your medical emergency arises? Lonnie Embry The Health and Life insurance coach.
