A Midland man was arrested for indecency with a child by exposure and driving while intoxicated, according to an arrest affidavit.
On July 9, Midland police were called about a report of a man who had exposed himself in public while sitting in a black vehicle.
According to the affidavit, the complainant had been riding her bike eastbound on E. Golf Course Road near her home when her tire went flat, forcing her to walk the bike home.
She said she saw a black vehicle slow down as it passed her before pulling into the driveway of a nearby home.
As she continued walking past the vehicle, she said she believed the man was speaking to someone else.
The man then yelled loudly, causing her to turn toward him. When she looked, she saw the man standing next to the vehicle while exposing himself.
She said she was scared and called her mother.
The man then drove away quickly. The girl said she recorded the vehicle as it left.
Midland police found a vehicle matching the description from the recording near N. Lamesa Road and E. Golf Course Road.
Officers initiated a traffic stop and matched the man to the description in the girl’s video.
During the stop, officers found the man to be intoxicated and discovered multiple alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle.
The man was later identified as Angel Hernandez Moreno.
During an interview, Moreno said he had left work and gone to a friend’s house where he drank alcohol.
He said the alcoholic beverages found in his vehicle were from friends to prevent littering.
Moreno was booked at the Midland County Detention Center on charges of indecency with a child by exposure and driving while intoxicated.
