When we talk about freedom in fandoms, what does well and what makes the most money is not the root of the discussion. What’s important is the freedom of equal representation, which is what every fan deserves.

When you feel represented within fandom—and across all pop culture—you feel supported, seen, and part of a community that should only ever be welcoming of one another. It allows you to feel comfortable branching out of your fandom to others and turning that love of something into a creative outlet. With that kind of representation, it’s easier to explore and enjoy what you love without fear of rejection or "exclusive clubs."

Without freedom, fandoms can not and will not be a safe space for ALL fans to enjoy, be seen, and contribute to. Freedom for one fandom means freedom for all fandoms
