Welcome our new police chief! We are relying on and trusting him to lead the department in protecting us.
The Ocoee Police Department is proud to announce the appointment of CHIEF VINCENT L. OGBURN, SR.
Chief Ogburn began his law enforcement career with the Florida Highway Patrol as a State Trooper in 1991. He proudly served the Orange and Osceola counties with FHP until he was hired by the Orlando Police Department in 1996. There, Chief Ogburn rose through the ranks to serve as a Deputy Chief. During his distinguished tenure, he served the Orlando community in the Patrol Division, Special Operations Division, as a Public Information Officer, and as Chief Mina's Staff Director. Chief Ogburn also served his Country, having proudly served in the United States Navy. Chief Ogburn joined our Department in 2020 and has led our agency serving as Deputy Chief of Operations.
Please join us in CONGRATULATING Chief Ogburn!
Thank you George Oliver for taking the time to share why you should be the next Commissioner to serve District 4. George Olivers campaign has faced much uncertainty from the election drama surrounding the election date changes to being disqualified, then re-qualified by a court order. According to election filings his campaign has spent about $10,000 in legal expenses simply to get his name on the ballot. As noted previously, George Olivers campaign has not raised nearly as much money as the Nate Robertson campaign.
Will the event of 2023 energize his voter base or will the attack ads from third party players sour peoples view of Olivers leadership? We will find out March 19th, 2024. Don't forget to find you polling location and get out and VOTE!
