Did you know that Saint Joseph has two feast days: March 19, the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, and May 1, the feast of St. Joseph the Worker.
Today, March 19, commemorates Saint Joseph as the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus. It is a solemnity in the Catholic Church. Saint Joseph is remembered as the model of compassion. When Joseph learned Mary, his betrothed, was with child, he responded without anger or condemnation, choosing instead to send Mary away quietly. He showed steadfast love and courage, acting without hesitation to take the child and his mother to Egypt, leaving in the middle of the night.
In Jeremiah's words: Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is the Lord. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
May the Lord grant each of us the grace to imitate St. Joseph and make us pillars of compassion, love, and courage in our homes and places of work.

Hoy, 19 de marzo, se conmemora a San José como esposo de María y padre terrenal de Jesús. Es una solemnidad en la Iglesia Católica. San José es recordado como un modelo de compasión. Cuando José supo que María, su prometida, estaba embarazada, respondió sin ira ni condena, optando por despedir a María en silencio. Demostró amor y valentía inquebrantables, actuando sin dudar para llevar al niño y a su madre a Egipto, partiendo en medio de la noche.
En palabras de Jeremías: «Bienaventurado el hombre que confía en el Señor, cuya esperanza es el Señor. (Jeremías 17:7-8).
Que el Señor nos conceda a cada uno de nosotros la gracia de imitar a San José y nos convierta en pilares de compasión, amor y valentía en nuestros hogares y lugares de trabajo.
