This house had split levels when we first walked in. The dining was sunken, the kitchen was up a few steps, and the family room felt totally cut off from everything else. And the ceilings were low everywhere on top of that.

So we took it apart and put it back together.

Everything sits on one floor now, the living, dining, kitchen, and family room, and we opened the ceiling all the way up over the living room so it goes up two full stories. The loft sits above and looks down into it.

It's a completely different house.

This is the kind of work we love most, taking a home apart from the ground up and rebuilding it into something that actually fits the family living in it.

We love a coastal design. And we love one made for the ranch just as much.

This kitchen is the ranch side of what we do. The homeowners wanted to keep some of the traditional character of the home and trusted us to blend it with updated finishes that will still feel right years from now.

Honestly, that's our favorite kind of trust to earn.

This one started as a split-level with a layout that just didn't work.

Instead of working around it, we solved it. Leveled the floors, restructured the layout, and in doing so created enough space to add a full primary suite.

The exterior got the same treatment: same bones, completely reimagined.

This is what we do. Not just renovate, but completely transform homes to fit your lifestyle.

Three milestones in one day! Chelsea graduated 8th grade, my middles ended third grade, going into fourth. And my littles had their last day of TK and are now going into kindergarten.

Junior high is hard, especially for a girl. Chelsea has done amazing! She’s matured so much, grown so much, had a lot of moments where she’s overcome a lot of things and walked into a lot of responsibility. To see her close that chapter and walk into the next one, I’m really excited for what she gets to step into.

The middles had an amazing year. Proud of them! They both tried new things this year, joined sports teams, met new friends. Ava did her first sport, played soccer. Micah played flag football.

And the babies finished all their preschool stuff. This fall I’ll have all five kids at the same school, which is going to be amazing. 🤍

And I think just reflecting, it’s a proud moment as a parent.

To see not only your kids thriving, but that we survived a hard year.

A good year, but a hard year.

You have days where there’s tears, they don’t understand the content at school, feel behind. And then to watch them work through it, it’s really beautiful!

Here are my go-to choices for a coastal palette:

Warmth on a very very white backdrop. Together, an absolute win. Makes you feel like you're on vacation.

Somewhere, something louder and more saturated, handmade, where each piece is slightly different so you won't get just a sea of one color.

And a sandy color that almost looks like shells, modern organic, kind of my favorite as a soothing anchor point.
