Join us for a Pop-up Theater Jazz Workshop When: Monday, January 29th Time: 7:00-9:00pm Where: Carlsbad Performing Arts Academy (Studio E) $25 Early Registration | $35 At the Door Link in bio to register **class level intermediate - advanced. This workshop will not be geared towards beginners** Don’t miss an opportunity dive deeper into your jazz technique training and learn jazz choreography that will challenge your jazz technique, choreography pick up skills, performance abilities. The workshop will be 2 hours long so we have enough time for a FULL warm-up, across the floor progressions, learn a jazz combination and time to perform in groups. (filming will be optional) During this workshop you’ll learn:​ A full body warmup you can apply to your dance training Explore jazz fundamentals through improvisation and progressions Discover your personal power through stylistic and empowering choreography Class will include a warm-up, center technique, across the floor progressions and a dance combination #sandiegojazz #theaterjazzclass #musicaltheaterclass

Adapted from Teatro San Diego’s successful production streamed during the Covid-19 pandemic, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is a gorgeous song cycle by Jason Robert Brown, composer of Parade, Bridges of Madison County, and The Last Five Years. Having the common theme of making a difficult and important decision, each song and performer represents a form of social injustice in America, such as Feminism, White Privilege, Gender Equality, and Racial Justice.
