Here are some of the latest scams that are going around. Please be vigilant and help protect yourself and your money by staying informed.

1. Bank Impersonation Scam

Scammers may pretend to be your bank telling you there's been fraud on your account. They often use a fake caller ID that shows up as the bank. Imposters will request sensitive information so they can access your account and make fraudulent transactions. Your bank will never call for sensitive personal information, account details, or verification codes.

2. Wrong Number Scam

Scammers may pretend to accidentally contact you via SMS messaging in the hopes of building relationships and luring you into investments schemes or other scams. Though scammers pose as regular people, you should be wary of texts from people you do not know and guard your personal information.

3. QR Code Scam

Scammers can easily create fake QR codes to lead you to their imposter sites. When scanning a QR code, consider the source, verify senders and check for stickers over legitimate codes.
