We are pleased to offer Royal, a remarkable Clydesdale gelding standing at an impressive 18 hands tall. This gentle giant is an excellent and safe riding and driving horse! He is sensitive enough to easily get him going, but is as slow and steady as they come. He’s been ridden both English and western, doing everything from obstacles to riding in the waves down the beach. He’ll drive perfectly single, double, and as a hitch. He’s even been used for chores around the Farm.

Just about anybody of any experience level could enjoy this guy. Confidently, I can assure you he would take the best of care of those beginners. He boasts a calm disposition that will melt your heart, especially with children. His caring nature ensures a safe experience for both novice and timid ridders alike. Whether he has been worked with daily or enjoyed a year of turnout, he is always the same well-behaved gentleman the next time you ride. In fact, I would confidently allow my seven-year-old daughter to ride him solo at a walk, trot, canter, and even down the trails without any prior riding session for me or any other sort of prep.

This guy thrives in any quality living situation - he can reside comfortably both indoors and outdoors, alone, or in a herd. His compatibility with other horses is exceptional, making him a wonderful addition to any equine family. He’s easy to catch in the largest of pastures and will meet you at the gate more often than not. Royals probably the easiest keeper clydesdale on this planet! As long as he’s fed quality hay and provided some sort of vitamins and minerals. He only requires bare minimal of everything else and he stays as round as they come. Making him a little bit later in the pocketbook, then your average draft horse.

Furthermore, Royal possesses an abundance of hair come out with a long, thick mane and feathers that are thick and fluffy dragging the groud, they’re even “scratches – free!!”… His ground manners are absolutely perfect! He will stand tied for hours on end. He’s great for the vet and farrier, he is currently shod all the way around for purposes of driving on the roads, but is sound barefoot as well. He has seen and experienced it all; nothing fazes him. Making him one of the safest and most well trained horses you will find on the market.

He has been exposed to everything imaginable; busy highways, downtown Ocala, parades, the beach, or just a relaxing Sunday afternoon trail ride he enjoys the most. Royal loves being loved on, his puppy dog personality makes him a delight to be around in the barn. He is great to shoe, bathe, and clip.
