Cities to pay residents for bottle and can pick-ups and drop-offs 12/11/2020

Californians ought to be skeptical of programs relying on the public to properly sort their recyclables. Yet, effective residential recycling does call for the expansion of curbside recycling services as the City of Irvine enacted.

I don't have faith in educational campaigns aiming to train the public on how to sort their recycling.

To vocalize the general public's attitude: "Let's throw everything together and let them sort it out."

During the pandemic, since we're ordered to shelter-in-place, I don't see how one can support the drop-off model Sonoma County enacted. On the other hand, perhaps in regions with vast and sparsely populated land, the pick-up service model is unworkable. Thoughts?
