Alameda Health System Foundation

Philanthropy is a powerful force at Alameda Health System (AHS), sparking what we call infectious hope - the kind that sweeps through our hospitals and communities, changing lives for the better.
A young patient from Alameda County found hope at AHS during one of their darkest times. They were suffering from end-stage heart failure, resulting from a substance use disorder.
AHS teams listened with compassion. Understood the patient’s hopes and dreams. And then, they worked together to give them the second chance they deserved.
The patient began meeting with AHS substance use coordinators, a primary care doctor, and a persistent pharmacy technician who secured medications.
Today, they are off substances, living independently, and working. Their story is a testament to the exceptional care provided at AHS, and the extraordinary donors who help make it possible.
Like other public safety net health systems, AHS is already feeling the profound impact of federal budget cuts. We’re calling on our community to support one another with gifts that bridge the widening gap in funding. Every dollar makes a life-changing difference! Make a Gift Today at bit.ly/AHSFdonate
