On the Eve of the United States 250th anniversary, we're launching a new collection of immersive experiences that explore the American story through the power of place. From the founding era of the American Revolution to the fight for educational opportunity during segregation to service and remembrance of September 11th, these experiences create new ways to connect with American history and the communities that carry it forward. In the early hours of June 28, 1969, a police raid on the Stonewall Inn sparked days of resistance that helped launch the modern LGBTQ rights movement. CyArk and NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project partnered in 2019 to document the site in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, using LiDAR and photogrammetry to capture the Stonewall Inn, Christopher Park, and the surrounding Christopher Street area in 3D. The Tapestry builds on that work with fresh interpretation and storytelling, bringing the site and its history to audiences anywhere.

The earthen walls and raised reliefs trace stories deeply connected to the island's past and roots of the community.
