Oakland Unified considers changing enrollment rules to increase diversity Edna Brewer Middle, Chabot Elementary, and Sequoia Elementary are proposing pilots that would prioritize low-income students for enrollment.

We now interrupt the regularly scheduled campaign updates to share how PROUD I AM of my younger brother JT! After years of working to earn his teacher certification, JT started his first year as a teacher this fall (tough year to be a first year teacher)! He and his wife Kenna are both educators, and it's an incredible blessing to be a part of a family that believes so deeply in the power of public education.
..and he's already making an impact! Congrats on being teacher of the month, brother! Your heart for kids has always been so big, and I'm glad you've found a career pathway that fits that passion.
