Slugger & Salty: The Dynamic Duo! 🐾🧡🤍🖤

Meet Slugger and Salty (better known as Mini Moo) a brother-and-sister pair who are as sweet as they are adorable. Two of five siblings, these cuties have formed an incredibly special bond and are rarely far from each other’s side.

Salty has always been the smallest of the litter and continues to grow at her own pace. But don’t let her tiny size fool you—she has no trouble keeping up with her big brother! Whether they’re chasing toys, wrestling, or zooming around the house, Mini Moo is always ready for fun. Even though she can match he’s energy most of the time, she does need frequent breaks from his kitten antics. So he will need a lot of toys and humans to play with.

Slugger is the perfect big brother. At mealtime, he patiently lets his little sister eat first before enjoying his own meal. Because of this, they’ll each need their own serving of wet food, although they’re happy to share dry food and water.

These two love cat trees, window hammocks, and just about every toy they can get their paws on. Their favorite pastime, though, is simply being together—playing, cuddling, and curling up side by side for naps. Even though they do well with other cats, they always find their way back to one another.

Slugger is a big purr machine all of the time. Anything and everything makes him happy. Whereas, Salty, you need to work a little for her love but once you got it, you have it.

Their ideal forever home is one where they can stay together and be the only cats. This allows their special bond to continue to flourish and helps keep little “Mini Moo” safe due to her petite size and slower more chill personality. Please only older, animal savvy kid household for these babies.

On Wednesday, July 15, we received a message from Orphan Kitten Rescue about a woman seeking help for a litter of kittens. Unfortunately, they were unable to assist because they are currently at capacity and facing a shortage of donation funds.

Knowing the situation might not end well for the kittens, we stepped in and drove to Modesto on Friday to bring them into our care.

There are also four adult cats in the home that need to be spayed and neutered. Whenever we take in kittens, we are committed to helping their mother and any nearby fathers as well, provided the owners or feeders work with us.

Thanks to a generous donor and to Orphan Kitten Rescue for arranging appointments with one of their veterinarians, all four adults will be fixed next week.
