Leo Club Program

In this compassionate initiative, the Leo Club of South Georgetown in Guyana teamed up with Brandon, a young boy with vision in only one eye, to provide a memorable, supportive shopping experience at Bounty Supermarket. Through a thorough needs assessment, the club discovered that Brandon needed essential items, including quality groceries, comfortable sneakers, and slippers. Acting as his ""sight for the day,"" the Leo club members guided him through the store, describing products and helping him make choices to ensure he felt both empowered and valued. Brandon's Vision Journey reflects the core mission of the Leo Club of South Georgetown: to inspire, uplift, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most.

"When you want something, the universe conspires to make it happen!"
The Leo Club of Pokhara Peace Chautari are over the moon with pride as their school painting and repairing project is now complete! With the theme of Empowering Generations, this Lions Clubs International Foundation Leo Service Grant project has not only changed physical structures but has also changed hearts. The true magic is in the beaming smiles of the students and the heartfelt words of their teachers, who have shared that these colorful classrooms have truly reignited the spark of learning. By bringing hope and pride, the Leos are ensuring that the next generation has a bright space to dream and grow in.
A huge shoutout to everyone who made this vision a colorful reality. The Leos were not just repairing walls; they were painting a brighter future! 🌈

Looking for ways to support the hunger global cause and serve your community for World Hunger Day on May 28? Lions and Leos are making an impact, from supporting women and children with hunger initiatives, partnering with organizations and facilities, to educating and advocating in their communities.
Here are some ways Lions and Leos are making a difference:
*Partner with a school in your community and provide take home meals for students who are low-income or under-resourced.
*Work with your club to host a meal packaging event on a monthly basis and identify ways to distribute the packages that are effective for the rural or urban community your club is supporting.
*Host an event inviting a local nutritionist to present on the topic of healthy diets.
