On April 02, 1925, Oklahoma's second official flag became official, replacing the old red flag with blue-bordered white star, inside of which was the number 46 for Oklahoma becoming the 46th state to enter the Union. The new flag, still essentially used today, was created by Louise Fluke. She insisted on hand-making most of the original flags, one of which exists in the state capital, while another resides in our nation's capital.

The Museum is fortunate enough to have a hand-painted flag of Louise Fluke's, originally presented to the Ponca City chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
