Marin County has over 1,000 residents experiencing homelessness, and youth are often undercounted.

Ambassadors of Hope and Opportunity (AHO) is a local nonprofit focused specifically on supporting at-risk and unhoused young adults with mentorship, resources, and long-term guidance.

Their model works because it is relationship-based. Youth must call for help themselves. From there, consistent support follows.

If you care about strengthening our local community, I encourage you to learn about AHO and consider how you might support their work. They are currently seeking a volunteer bookkeeper for one hour per month.
