My Caffeine Journey from my 20’s to my 40’s
Early 20’s 2-4 cups of coffee/day
Mid 20’s 2-3 Starbucks coffees/day
Late 20’s Major Adrenal Fatigue had to make changes based on Medical advise & an inner knowing it was time, since I was having issues & becoming dependant
Early 30’s NO CAFFINE, Lots of supplements, blood work & lifestyle changes
Mid 30’s NO CAFFINE, Started taking whole food capsules & shakes, started juicing (the green kind lol) 3 supplements not 10, Balanced hormones
Late 30’s NO CAFFINE, whole food capsules & Shakes, Green Juice, Vit D, regular massage, body work, hiking, meditation, first pregnancy (natural conception & child birth)
Early 40’s Luminate (Natural energy drink w caffeine from coffee berry) 1/day, still take whole food powders and shakes, light exercise at home to work on Diastasis recti from 2nd pregnancy (separated stomach muscles)
I was definitely needing some support recently for lack of focus and energy. I was hesitant to bring caffeine back into the fold, but luminate continues to serve me in a way that coffee never did…. I do love the smell of coffee and the warm morning ritual but I don’t miss having all the negative side effects. I was a hot coffee drinker even in the heat, but now that I’m in Texas I welcome a nice cold refreshing morning beverage. Luminate can be enjoyed both hot and cold but I haven’t tried it hot yet, stay tuned. Not to say I’m not going to enjoy a decaf coffee once in a blue moon, but I’m really digging my luminate in the morning. Having a toddler and an infant, I need all the help I can get, just not at the expense of my health!

Do you like being Fat?
Do you like being sick all the time?
Do you like depression?
Do you like having low energy?
Do you like having bad skin?
Do you like having messed up digestion?
I think I heard you say NO! What are you doing about it? Maybe you are overwhelmed or have a hard time caring about yourself these days. I get it… I have definitely been a person who puts myself last while caring for everyone else around. My heart goes out to all the moms out there who are tired and just trying to keep sh*t together and the kids alive. Imagine having a bit more energy and not depending on coffee or caffeine to get you through the day. Imagine being able to give your body over 30 different fruits, veggies and berries from the palm of your hand. Imagine your kids eating fruits and veggies everyday. You may not think it’s possible but I’ve seen it happen.
Eating encapsulated farm fresh produce everyday was the best decision I ever made! (This is not a multivitamin, it’s food)Thank God I did when I did because now that I’m a mom I rely on this dense nutrition. I don’t do caffeine in any form and I have the energy to care for my 9 month old son, keep up with the house (my house isn’t perfect but it’s not dirty) , work part time, do my best with the pup lol and be present with my husband for quality time together.
It took me a long time to find balance in my life and I have waaay too much experience with being out of balance. I was either killing it with my diet, killing it with my career, killing it at the gym…. My point is, I was killing it in the wrong way, and not all areas of my life at once, it wasn’t sustainable.
If you ever want to chat and share wins or losses, I’m here. I would love to share some info that could change not just your health but the health of your family and friends.
I come from a place of responsibility, I want to at least share the info… what you decide from there is your business. Most people who have taken the time to hear me out are grateful and have made huge improvements to their health. Even my Dad is on board, and if you know him that’s saying something!

It’s been quite a ride the last year and a half! Lots of changes, new adventures! I’ve been so blessed to have had the experience of loving, moving and becoming a mom.
Of course moving away from family and friends is bittersweet but it makes visits more precious. I’m embracing Texas with open arms and beginning a new chapter in my life.
Which brings me to my newest adventure of going back to work!
I’ve found a great little spot in Dripping Springs and look forward to serving a new community and building new relationships! I will be part time so I can still enjoy my mornings with my amazing son and be home evenings for family time! Wish me luck. I’m excited and ready to balance work and family.

So apparently Southwest airlines is giving free extra seats to people who are obese, or “super fat” according to Jae’lynn the plus -size traveling expert.
I’m not sure how I feel about this to be honest….
On one hand it’s better that a larger person has 2 seats, so if I’m in the 3rd seat maybe I won’t be squished up against the window or pushed into the aisle.
On the other hand it doesn’t seem fair to only accommodate the obese, for reasons of comfort not disability.
Why not accommodate a parent with their baby and offer them an extra seat so they can have more room to change a diaper or nurse?
Maybe offer a free seat to a caregiver traveling with the elderly? This could help old people with that bucket list…
I mean if Southwest wants to do good deeds why not the elderly.
This isn’t about body shaming, it’s about “to what end” and how we cherry pick who we accommodate in American society.
I don’t like the idea of “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”, I feel like this came about because southwest didn’t want to go on blast by some tik tok or social media influencer or they were suggested into this position to get ahead of this new obesity discrimination industry. Let’s face it money is a driving force behind so much BS nowadays. I’m sure lawyers can’t wait to get 30% off these types of cases.
The other thing that comes to mind (maybe it’s just my mind thinking it through), but Southwest can’t go broke giving seats away. With this new policy Southwest will attract a new demographic that could potentially cut profit in half. Southwest is known for their affordability and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that they will be raising costs to “accommodate” this new policy. I personally don’t feel like paying more so someone else can have a free seat for comfort. I just can’t get behind this Southwest! Does this mean I could lose my seat so you can accommodate an obese person. How will this work? It is rare that a southwest flight isn’t full and sold out, so how are you accommodating the extra free seat?

Wisdom wednesday
No Body is you and that is your power!
Everyone has something to offer the world, we each have unique gifts. I think sometimes we do a bit too much comparing to shine our own light bright. I know I have a constant battle with comparison. I want to believe I'm getting better, part of me sharing on social media is my way of getting out of my comfort zone and growing my gifts (if you will). I miss connecting with people and having the conversations that inspire change or the deep shares that help us make and recognize breakthroughs.
We all have so much going on in our heads and social media can be the worst if we let it take a negative hold. I was hesitant for a long time to engage on social media because it felt so fake and I was being judgy about the platform in general.
I didn’t like that space so im taking control of my thoughts and perceptions and doing it my own way. I will use the platform to connect the way I used to in person. Maybe I will make new friends, maybe I will lose some old friends, maybe I will inspire strangers I will never know. I will trust my gifts to come through and be grateful for the outcome.
What are your gifts?
If you ask me about mine, I'm still figuring them out. I have some debris I'm getting out of the way so I can shine brighter and get to know my gifts so I can better share them with the world.
Maybe we can help each other, drop a comment to let me know what you think my gift(s) is/are and I will answer with what I believe the power of you might be!
