Sunzaun - Vertical Solar
We're excited to be at the Georgia Solar Farm Summit! 🌱☀️
If you're here this week, stop by the Sunzaun booth and say hello to Tia!
We're talking with developers, EPCs, landowners, utilities, and anyone interested in how vertical bifacial solar can help maximize land use while supporting agriculture, infrastructure, and other dual-use applications.
Whether you're actively planning a project or just curious about where agrivoltaics is headed, we'd love to hear what you're working on and exchange ideas.
See you at the Summit!

Heading to Athens for the Georgia Solar Farm Summit.
Sunzaun will be on the ground tomorrow and Thursday at booth 28, talking vertical bifacial solar fencing with anyone thinking through dual-use land strategies, perimeter security, or agrivoltaics.
If you're attending, we'd love to connect in person — swing by the booth, or send me a DM to grab time.
See you in Georgia.

Trains in Austria are now running on farmland solar.
Not solar that displaced farmland. Solar that shares it.
A new 6.6 MW agrivoltaic facility in Donnerskirchen just came online with a design worth studying:
One site, three jobs. Seven hectares alongside a rail line now produce roughly 8.3 GWh of clean electricity per year — fed directly into Austria's railway power grid — while organic farming continues between the rows and native habitat gets restored around the edges.
The direct-feed detail matters. By skipping the public grid and supplying the railway network directly, the project cuts energy losses and strengthens supply security. That's enough output to power the equivalent of 32,500 train trips between Vienna and Eisenstadt annually.
And the land keeps working. Crops gain protection from the solar structures. The panels gain natural cooling from the vegetation. The soil keeps its water permeability.
This is the pattern we keep pointing to: the future of solar isn't a competition for land. It's infrastructure, agriculture, and energy production learning to occupy the same footprint.
Rail corridors. Airport perimeters. Farm edges. The land is already there.
What linear infrastructure near you is still single-use?
