The International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981; 20 years later, the same body designated that day, September 21, as a period of nonviolence and ceasefire. The Pulte Institute stands with vulnerable communities worldwide echoing the call of this year’s theme: “Act Now for a Peaceful World.”

The call for contributions is open for the second Annual National Sustainability Society Conference on campus at Notre Dame, October 20-23. Contributions are considered from those in academia, industry, nonprofits and government, with submissions from emerging scholars and early career professionals especially welcome.
