| The 2026-2027 Twinning Year is beginning!

Now is the time to establish or renew an existing Twinning Partnership between your student club, residence hall, parish, grade school, or other Holy Cross ministry and a Holy Cross ministry around the world. Twinning fosters meaningful relationships rooted in prayer, fundraising, and encounter while strengthening connections across the locations the Congregation of Holy Cross serves around the world.

Registered Twinning Partners are eligible for the Bricklayers Matching Grant of up to $2,000 USD, providing additional resources to support the ministry priorities of their partner communities and deepen the impact of their shared mission.

| On July 2, 1961, Servant of God Vincent McCauley (C.S.C.) was installed as the first bishop of the Diocese of Fort Portal, Uganda. This day holds additional significance as it was also the day he professed his First Vows (in 1926) and his Final Vows (in 1929).

McCauley was sent to lead the Congregation’s new mission to Uganda in 1958. The mission focused on building up the local Church through the establishment, renovation, and strengthening of parish churches and schools. When the Vatican established a second diocese in western Uganda, McCauley was appointed bishop of the newly created Diocese of Fort Portal. As Bishop, he built the diocese from the ground up, founding numerous parishes and diocesan structures, along with St. Mary’s Minor Seminary for local priestly formation.
