Poll, she had been exposed for several months but wasn’t bred (or too soon to tell) as of March 29th. The last date I have for her as a possible due date is June 6th (Friday).

But she stayed with the buck after I noticed the deed, so I could have missed a later breeding.

Today I noticed this, what does everyone think?

And that’s a wrap, (unless my 2 girls surprise me) Pearl welcomed 2 boys mostly on her own (and she probably would have gotten him out, but he probably would have aspirated first), I came outside, she had the first one out and clean, the second was coming out backwards and it seemed to be stuck. I quickly pulled him out, he had a very full mouth of mucus. I spent several panicky minutes sucking stuff out of his mouth and throat, but all is well. Boy 1 is 3lb 11.3oz, Boy 2 is slightly darker in color, weighs 3lb 10.4oz

Dang, unfortunately Rain had her babies not long before I got home. 2 big boys, however 1 didn’t make it, I feel like he may have aspirated on fluid before Rain was able to clean him off, he was 3lb 4.5oz, the surviving boy is 4lb 0.9oz. I hate I wasn’t home, but she had them both on her own, this is her 2nd kidding, both done without assistance.

Just came in from my nightly baby goat check. Bubbles bag is MUCH more even today, babies bellies very round and full, they are starting to do their cute little goatie hops, maybe a video tomorrow or Saturday depending on weather 🤩

Well babies are nursing great, but only off one side. Milked off mama and now that side isn’t so full, I think, fingers crossed 🤞 that the babies have realized there are 2 sources on tap.

On another note, the human kid, is a fan of fresh goats milk 😅🤢

First babies of 2026! 2 caramel babies for Bubbles, a girl first 2lb 5oz and a boy 2nd 2lb 8oz. She had a bit of a struggle on the girl, but once I finally got ahold of its legs, which was a struggle in itself, baby kept pulling back every time I got ahold of them, she didn’t have any problems with the 2nd baby. Both are up and moving around and have found their food. Mama is very attentive.
