Three Roots Floral Design

All the incredible floral details from the personal flowers at J & J’s wedding.

Julia from the start had a vision for single variety bridesmaid bouquets. Tweedia was the *obvious* choice for the blue bouquets but the white flowers were a bit of a quandary. Dahlias, larkspur, lisianthus, garden roses we couldn’t quite pick one out and then I saw the delphinium coming from California and we were sold!

All the frilly and textural details hidden and white flowers sprang to life in Julia’s bouquet which was a stunning mix of seasonal favorites and the few last remaining phlox for the year. The cherry on top, a weave by her sister including textile fragments from their late grandmother’s wardrobe.

What a dream to get lost in the details this way.

Spring is officially here in my corner of CT. We are mere hours away from April and already we are being graced with her delicate showers with the promise of May flowers!

Peonies, garden roses, spirea and more will soon be at hand for us all to enjoy.

As the seasons turn and the promise of a new spring is ahead I am taking time to look at past work and reflect on the many journeys this studio has been on.

From a small dream started in a spare bedroom to now an independent studio focused on expansive flower story telling opportunities growing with Three Roots has been the creative adventure of a life time.

With great hope for what is ahead I am diligently planning and working towards continued expansion and flower design opportunities.
