For years, I’ve driven by these university gates without a second thought—just another college (or so I thought) that we passed in route to market.

But this last time felt different. I took notice. I wrote down the name and mentioned it to our son. I had no expectations, just wanted him to explore.

Our oldest is getting ready to head off to college this fall (😢) and somehow, out of all the places he could land… it’s here. The same place I’ve passed by so many times, now holding a completely new meaning. And I could be happier on so many levels. is no doubt going to become his home away from home and let me tell you — what is beyond those gates is simply incredible.

As a parent, there’s a mix of emotions I don’t think you can fully prepare for—pride, excitement, a little disbelief. Watching him step into this next chapter feels big in all the ways.

And on the business side, it adds something unexpected and incredibly special. Market trips will look a little different now. They’ll still be full of sourcing, meetings, and inspiration—but they’ll also come with the gift of getting to see my kiddo in his new world. 💜 🤗 💜

The most beautiful spaces are never created alone. Perfect example - today we had the pleasure of spending time with — a local resource (🤗) that we are so happy to have a partnership with for our Greenwich project.

Part of design “magic” is aligning with the right people and the vendors that you can look at as a parter. Because behind every finished room is a network of incredible vendors—workrooms, upholsterers, millworkers, painters, installers—who we collaborate with to bring the vision to life with precision, patience, and pride. They are not just part of the process… they are an extension of our design business.

The relationships we build with our vendors matter. Trust, communication, and mutual respect are what turn a good project into an exceptional one. When you have partners who care as much about the details as you do, it shows in every seam, every finish, every final reveal.

Great design is collaborative. And the strongest partnerships are the foundation of everything we create.
