If you are on Medicare or approaching Medicare age, we have an important question: Do you know the difference between an Issue-Age Plan and an Attained-Age plan?

The premiums for all Medicare Supplement plans are based on your current age. With attained-age plans, your premium increases each year on your birthday and can often double in cost every seven or eight years and continue increasing for the rest of your life.

The alternative is an issue-age plan. While premiums may still increase over time, your rate is always based on the age you were when the policy was issued. Over the years, this can save you a substantial amount of money.
