We have seen Facebook posts going around about this year's Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment Period (OEP). It is true that in many states the OEP is November 1 through December 15. HOWEVER, if you are a resident of Colorado, our OEP is November 1 through January 12. Although this is 18 days shorter than last year, it is almost a month longer than most other states. Again, the absolute latest you can purchase Affordable Care Act qualified health insurance for 2018 is 01/12/2018 (unless you become eligible for a special enrollment period due to a qualified life change event). If you want / need a 01/01/2018 effective date of coverage, then your deadline to enroll in a plan is 12/15/2017. We look forward to assisting you with your 2018 health insurance needs!
