COVID-19 halts college recruiting process for Davidkov The coronavirus, COVID-19, pandemic has postponed the beginning of the high school sports season so far, meaning that sports like soccer, water polo, badminton, baseball and lacrosse have had their seasons put on hold as the country waits to find out what to do next.

Winnetka’s Christine Walker and her family did something novel during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

They pulled puzzles and board games out of a closet in their home and gave them away for free to residents who found themselves homebound because of the need to “shelter in place” during the crisis and who were looking for something more interesting to do.

“It is our gift to the community,” Walker said. “We would like to think we helped increase the amount of family fun time many Winnetka residents and others now have because of our games.”
