PSA: WE ARE MOVING TO COLORADO βπ»
WHY NOW? Patrick and I do not rush into decisions. It took us 6 years to start our business together with planning. It took us 9 years to elope and 10 years to have our ceremony. Now is exactly the right time.
WHY COLORADO? The music scene is at its biggest in Colorado. It is 30% cheaper to live there than RI or MA specifically, where we currently live and are from. We have hit our effective limit where we are right now as we live in a business oriented and academic part of the country, not a creative place. A place where creative artists flourish from Dr. Seuss, Emily Dickinson, or end their lives at Mark Twain, etc.
OUR EXPERIENCE - we are both college educated, met at Quinnipiac in 2012, and started dating in 2015.
Patrick - has his bachelor's degree in Film, Television, and Art with a minor in art. His work earned him the dean's top praise that he was the best work they had ever seen and he won for Best Cinematography while there. He has done just about every video job you can imagine - from weddings, realty, photobooths, on set of LA music videos, short films, passion projects, and worked with every style genre - gospel, heavy metal, alternative, rock, etc.
Cora (me) - I was top of my class in both high school and college. I graduated with departmental biology (one of 10) honors and cm laude from Quinnipiac. I had my minor in philosophy and was one additional respective course away from two minors in chemistry and art. While at Quinnipiac, I joined several national societies (5+) and presented in DC impressing a previous Nobel Prize winner with my parasitology/global health research project. I chose love instead of going to Texas and leaving my partner and family behind.
After this I worked in histology (cancer treatment applications) simultaneously also as a traveling vet clinic lead, then onto working for two immunology labs simultaneously for 3 years (for breast cancer and colitis) and managed two labs while still typing 1000s of mice on a weekly basis during COVID's peak, then I went onto work in an analytical chemistry lab as their biologist becoming patented and published for my (continue in comments)....
