114 years ago today, February 14, 1911 John Browning received a patent for his design for what became America's pistol, the 1911 government model in caliber 45ACP.
The example pictured is a C**t commercial model shipped from the C**t factory in July of 1917 to Shapleigh Hardware in St. Louis.
It is in original condition including the lanyard loop magazine.
