The upward trend continued in September, with the year-over-year monthly supply of inventory reaching 2.9 months. The median home price also rose again, with an increase of 23.4 percent to $580,000.
With inventory rising, buyers have the opportunity to comb through more listings to find that perfect home that's just right. Even with more competing listings, sellers are still receiving a median of 95.4 percent of their original listing price. Recent adjustments to interest rates are impacting the housing market on a national level however, the market remains strong in South Florida.

Despite rising mortgage rates, this is still a bargain compared to interest rates from the 1970s to early 2000s when we look at historical data from Freddie Mac. Donβt fall into the trap of waiting to buy and with hopes that mortgage rates will drop.
