A new rideshare company, Tryp, will be offering rides here, perhaps as soon as next year. Passengers will hail rides using the “Tryp Rides” app which is already available for Android and IPhone. Passengers and Drivers will love Tryp. A passenger can request a particular driver, or specify that their driver be hailed from a group of their favorite drivers. I expect this will be especially popular with women. I’ve read that while 62% of adult men have used rideshare, only 18% of adult women have.

Tryp plans to offer lower fares on every ride, and promises never to use surge pricing. Passengers will appreciate that! I expect that multitudes of folks will open Tryp app because when they type in their destination, Tryp will show not only the Tryp price for that ride, but also the Uber and Lyft price for that same ride.

Although Tryp’s prices will be lower, Tryp’s drivers will earn more and every driver will also earn stock.

I went to Miami last week for Tryp’s launch in their first market. The company had over 2,000 drivers already signed up in that area. If we can get 2,000 drivers signed up here, Tryp will launch here before launching in larger markets. The company expects to launch in some thirty metro areas before the end of 2019, and in some 100 metro areas by this time next year.

One of the big differences between Tryp and the two now-dominant companies is that Tryp is a referral-based company. Every driver and passenger has to be referred by somebody, and every ride taken by somebody you referred will earn you 40 cents. As soon as you sign up as a free passenger, you’ll get your own referral code. It would be a pleasure and an honor to see you join using my referral code, which is

It’s easy to sign up and use the free app. If you sign up now, you’ll even get a $1 credit toward your first ride.

There’s other ways to earn with Tryp too. I’m all in.

Best wishes,
